Biggest Loser at Great Lakes

A week or so ago I recorded a question asking the Biggest Loser crew:

The question basically asks what we can do to not fall apart every six months between Navy Physical Fitness Assessments. Like it or not, several of us bigger people struggle with it.

Well, one thing that we can do is exactly what the Biggest Loser does. Have a bunch of overweight people fight tooth and nail for several weeks to lose as much weight as possible. It gets the competitive juices flowing. Several of my fellows (and a female comrade as well!) are taking part, and the smack-talking is already in full swing.

I have dreams and desires for this 12 week journey. Our weight-ins are on Tuesdays, so I'll update the blog then. Wish me luck and root for me!

Who's responsible for overseeing the training programs, nutritional component, and general well-being of the participants? I love the idea that you're organizing something of this magnitude, but I'd be cautious for participant safety. Anyway, good luck, and I will expect to see good results posted (pics, too?) on a weekly basis!

In short, no one. The deal is to lose weight and while it's called Biggest Loser, it's not so heavy that we're working out three times a day for several hours at a shot. Besides, all of us are CPR qual'd. And just to be clear, I'm not organizing anything. I'll definitely be posting results every week. Stay tuned!

I am a Calvinist, so I will wish you good providence. See Col. 3:23.

I'm a Calvinist half of the time. I accept your well-wishes. Thank you!

Consider going full-time. The pay is the same, but the benefits are tremendous.

Opine. My iron needs sharpening.

Blessings, BF
